The best representation of a finish is our color chip. Photographs may not be a true representation of the actual color. All products are hand painted after we receive your order. The entire color is is painted together to ensure a consistent finish. In a hand finish operation there are a few things that can cause acceptable variation in the finish; for example a finish may look slightly different on a steel product than it will a wood product. All finishes are available on any product with the exception of the stains which are only available on wood product.
Wood naturally absorbs stain. The grain of the wood can result in the wood absorbing the stain unevenly across the surface area. This means that some areas may appear darker than others depending on the wood grain. This variation is part of the inherent beauty of stained wood as opposed to painted wood. Finials, poles, brackets and rings each absorb the same stain differently, which means that a set of hardware will contain color variations driven by the wood grain of each piece.
All steel product, except for the following items, are available with a clear coating that helps prevent rust and preserves the natural beauty of unfinished raw steel. Steel is not uniform in color tone and will vary in shades of gray and silver.
